Nelson Contracting began in 1981 as a local civil construction company, in Watford City, North Dakota. With a growing base of business, Nelson Contracting expanded its services to provide transportation and sand and gravel services to a broader range of construction related industries.
In 1996, Nelson Contracting acquired the land now occupied by the South 40 transfer station, which handles storage and transfer of numerous sand and gravel products. otherwise unavailable locally.
